چکیده

Development of distributed computing systems (DCS) takes an important place in modern scientificand technical literature. Generally, only one the most significant features DCS is discussedin papers, for example, performance, reliability, fault tolerance, energy efficiency andscalability. In this paper authors attempt to overall consider problem design, based on theexample a multi-channel onboard data processing places autonomous underwatervehicle (AUV). The aim formulate unified concept onboardDCS real-time processing. As result, architecture and principles operation are proposed, well-known approaches tolerance efficiency, taking into account scalable systems. proposed solutions can beviewed as advancement traditional development. Fault toleranceis achieved by using test-based diagnostic tools. order reduce complexity these tools, redundancy preliminarily added each software module (SM) system. Then tests theredundancies built. It shown that test detects failures addressing exchanges betweenSM blocks implement Based results analysis diagnostictool reaction test, failed detected. stops itswork, new SM implements same algorithm started execute instead. Energy efficiencyproposals suitable case presence redundant processors system which couldsupport multi-core technology. These could be involved execution process thesystem SMs with simultaneous decrease clock frequency supply voltage. Since powerconsumption significantly depends voltage, it decreases alongwith parameter values. An optimal greedy used solve described problem, whichassumes sequential involving additional energyefficiency proposal provides latter capabilities. practicalimportance consists possibility not AUVs application. It also other cases development withreal-time have requirements.

NIM: Scalable Distributed Stream Processing System on Mobile Network Data

As a typical example of New Moore’s law, the amount of 3G mobile broadband (MBB) data has grown from 15 to 20 times in the past two years (30TB to 40TB per day on average for a major city in China), real-time processing and mining of these data are becoming increasingly necessary. The overhead of storage and file transfer to HDFS, delay in processing, etc are making offline analysis on these da...

MOCgraph: Scalable Distributed Graph Processing Using Message Online Computing

Existing distributed graph processing frameworks, e.g., Pregel, Giraph, GPS and GraphLab, mainly exploit main memory to support flexible graph operations for efficiency. Due to the complexity of graph analytics, huge memory space is required especially for those graph analytics that spawn large intermediate results. Existing frameworks may terminate abnormally or degrade performance seriously w...

Scalable Distributed Stream Processing

Many stream-based applications are naturally distributed. Applications are often embedded in an environment with numerous connected computing devices with heterogeneous capabilities. As data travels from its point of origin (e.g., sensors) downstream to applications, it passes through many computing devices, each of which is a potential target of computation. Furthermore, to cope with time-vary...
